A gun sighting telescope, dated 1916 and engraved with the maker's name: W. OTTWAY & Co. LTD. EALING. It is made of brass and has focusing ring and a ring to alter the magnifying power (with a corresponding scale up to 21) by rotating the eyepiece end. There is a brass objective lens cap. Both the cap and the telescope have the government broad arrow mark. Used for artillery sighting during the GREAT WAR. Measures
