This is a very interesting Arabic sword with heavy engraving across the hilt. There are Arabic or Persian characters on the chappe rainguards, but we have been unable to discern them. The sword is missing its scabbard, but remains in gorgeous condition. The swords hilt is beautifully engraved on the handle, handguard, backstrap, and grip ferrule. The back of the grip has opened a small bit, revealing the material
