A potentiometer (or "pot") is used to control the forward reverse movement of your scooter. This comes as an assembly with the throttle pot, spring, and the thumb controled "wig wag" lever. The throttle pot is sometimes called the engager or throttle switch. If your scooter has a faulty throttle potentiometer, it can cause a "jerky"
