This is a fascinating Iron Barreled Blunderbuss measuring 28" overall with gracefully swamped 14" barrel. Complete with brass mounts and brass tipped ram rod, the lock is Crown over G. R. marked and inscribed "J. Richards" across lock tail. The Iron Barrel is also marked "J. Richards" with "Strand, London" and bears correct London Proof markings of the time. Also on the barrel are the initials "I. R. S." representing
