Bledsoe, Jules - Signed Photograph 1931 Records Signed slight damage on the bordersAmerican baritone and composer (1897 1943), the first African American artist to succeed in Broadway, getting regularly hired, sang in the original production of Jules Kern's Showboat in 1927. Signed photograph, shown as himself, inscribed and dated in 1931. Stamped on verso by photographer Charles A. Braun, Chicago. Size is 8 x 10 inches, several small creases on edges, otherwise in very good condition.
