Germany, Luftwaffe. A Radio Operator And Air Gunner Badge, By F.w. Assmann & Söhne Auction 171 walked out to safety(Fliegerschtzenabzeichen fr Bordfunker). Constructed of silvered tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a mobile swastika, overlaid by a swooping Luftwaffe eagle clutching dual lightning bolts in its talons, the reverse with two visible rivets securing the obverse eagle in place, with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked with the logo of F. W.
