Original U.S. War of 1812 Era Infantry 1805 Pattern Officer’s Sword with Weeping Eagle Pommel & Scabbard - Broken Guard German SS All of the previous carbinesOriginal Item. Only One Available. This is a very nice War of 1812 era Infantry Officers sword with a broken 5 ball hilt & Weeping Eagle pommel, a feature frequently found on officers swords of this period. The blade has very well retained patriotic etchings, with a great early Eagle E Pluribus Unum motif and a shield crossing a cannon on one side, and a lovely Phrygian cap and pike motif on the other. There is no makers mark, common for this period.
