This is a rare 1932 contact issued to Bailey Banks & Biddle Company Silver Star Medal. 50,000 were produced approximately 15,000 were issued prior to WWII and the remaining were issued during the war. This specific medal was awarded to Private Adelard P. Provost of the 47th Infantry, 9th Infantry Division. This is confirmed by General Order #38, 1943, 9th Infantry Division. Which awards the Silver Star Medal to PVT
