Constructed of silvered bronze with multi coloured enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with white enameled arms overlaid by stylized red enameled flames, with a central white enameled disk bearing a black mobile swastika, the arms joined by a banner bearing a raised inscription of FR VERDIENSTE IM FEUER
