Germany, Imperial. A 1914 Iron Cross I Class certificate_of_authenticity all in excellent(Eisernes Kreuz 1914 I. Klasse). Reinstituted 5 August 1914. (1914 1918). Constructed of silver and brass, consisting of a convex Cross Patte with a blackened brass core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with a central initial W, the six oclock arm with a reinstitution date of 1914, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and banjo style pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 43. 15 mm (w) x 43. 35 mm (h), weighing 15. 8
