Description

This example was almost certainly purchased by a naval officer during the Pre WWII or Early War period

even in conditions of bright sunlight

A strategic air force was tasked with a mission to attack an enemy's war effort beyond his front-line forces

The plating is flaking a bit near the throat

It does however appear that the holster has been reworked to some extent

Original German Post-WWI Painting of Macabre Trench Scene with British Landship Tank - Signed & Dated 1927 on Reverse - 11½ x 15½” German Military Maps This example was almost certainlyOriginal Item. One of a Kind. This is a very macabre painting dated 1927 to the reverse. The painting depicts a very troubling trench scene including one Imperial German soldier bleeding out to the left, another holding his face in his hands to the right, and a third soldier climbing onto No Mans Land. A British Landship tank approaches in the background, crushing the barbed wire emplacements in its patch. The painting is in a frame measuring 11 x 15
