All in all a nice example of the very rare M1884/94 II Sawback Bayonet of WWI

as these were often worn on horseback

It was then modified in 1917 to remove the securing hook for the knife

The left side of the frame still bears the Colt "Prancing Pony" Logo

as fixed and synchronized cowling guns firing through the propeller

Original Soviet military issue Pataroopers Drop Knife as issued to parachutists and pilots during the Cold War. This particular knife dates from the Soviet Afghan War era. These knives were used by Russian paratroopers who were hung up or tangled in their parachutes' shroud lines. The knife has a unique shaped serrated blade, a brown bakelite grip and a ribbed plastic sheath. Included is the original plastic sheath.
