Our 16 year old clump of the deer resistant clumping bamboo topped out at 12' tall with a basal spread of 15', producing 0. 5 1" diameter arching blue green culms. While it doesn't gallop like running bamboos, this is not a small plant, so allow plenty of space. In warm temperate climates, mature plants of Borinda boliana should top out
