D.R.I. 'CROSSOVER' LP SKELETONWITCH This version of the BlackD. R. I. were one of the first hardcore bands to incorporate the palm muted chugs, grisly lead riffs and heftier production of the burgeoning thrash metal scene into their punk blasts, a then contentious fusion that would become known as crossover. The Houston crew wore the term like a badge on their 1987 masterpiece, which featured all the youthful vigor of the NYHC greats channeled through the three, four, five minute song structures of Overkill and
