Cross Stitch is inspired by antique embroidery samplers and vintage cross stitch patterns and books that I found at flea markets in Paris over the last couple of years

These began with her graduation installation of  ‘Hooks & Frocks’ which incorporates photographs of hanging dresses

yet the ever-changing species and their array of brilliant colors reinforce the ideas of hope and renewal that underpin this design
