Instituted 30 January 1934 by Duke Carl Eduard of Saxe Coburg and Gotha. (1934 1937 issue). Constructed of gilded bronze with multi coloured enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Geneva Cross with white enameled arms, the obverse bearing a central black enameled eagle with details highlighted in gilt, in turn overlaid by a central Red Cross insignia, unmarked,
