This is a very nice early American Brass framed Tinder Lighter, complete with its original monopod stand. It measures just about 6 3 4" in length and 3 3 4" in height. The internal and functional components are made of the usual iron and steel. It is fully marked on the sides of the box lock with T. ALLEN on one side and NEW YORK on the other. These were first used as fire lighters by the flint striking a spark on
