This fine rifle is in . 38 40 caliber (marked . 38 WCF on chamber) with a 24" octagonal barrel and full length magazine tube. It also still has traces of the the 38 CAL. marking on the feed block. Features a nice No. 2 front sight and "flat top" rear adjustable sight, both aftermarket by MARBLE'S. The serial number is 249796B denoting the year of manufacture as 1887.
