It is decorated with a well detailed zinc eagle insignia on the peak and and an early pattern hand embroidered bullion wreath surrounding a bullion tri-color cockade on the band

with tack holes and wear on the four corners

A snap-on nape strap cushioned the liner against the back of the wearer's neck and stops it from falling off

The chin strap is missing (common) but all other straps including the strap that secures the three flaps together are present
