Arisaema maximowiczii Sun to Shade boreale has only one (sometimesFrom the Kyushu Mountains of Japan, this namesake of the 19th century Russian botanist, Carl Johann Maximowicz, is an elegant cobra lily with a 2' tall dark purple based stem. Each plant bears a ten leaflet leaf to the side of the main stem. The hood (spathe) is green and white striped and ends as a long thread hanging over the pitcher which houses the green spadix (sex organ).
