This is an original Japanese WWII high grade officer katana mounted in Type 98 Shin Gunto ( kyhachi shiki gunt) military fittings and signed on the tang HIZEN NO KUNI YOSHITADA. The opposite side bears a KIGEN 2600 HARU (Spring 1940) date inscription. The sword is presented in honest service used condition with a 26 1 4" blade, pierced brass tsuba, genuine same grip covering, eight seppa, functional scabbard lock,
