This is an excellent example of a genuine WWII Front Seam Fixed Bale M1 Helmet made by McCord Radiator, with very nice liner by Seaman Paper Co. At some point during the war, or possibly post war, the helmet was converted to the paratrooper configuration. The original shell chin straps were removed, replaced with the paratrooper type, which have a snap that attaches to the liner. The liner itself had two of the "A"
