This badge was instituted in 1935 and discontinued in 1944. Worn by Bulgarian observers during WW II but also awarded to German Luftwaffe observers serving with Bulgarian airmen. Of fine quality make, multi piece construction and with Bulgarian hallmarks on the reverse. Worn, slight enamel chipping, in very fine condition. Scarce.
