Constructed of black rayon, the obverse bearing a machine embroidered silver aluminum wire inscription of MARINE=FLEIGER=ABTEILUNG, unmarked, measuring 3. 5 cm (w) x 117 cm (l), demonstrating minor material fatigue including wear to the wire resulting in a patina throughout the inscription, a scarce ribbon issued to naval aviators in near extremely fine condition.
