Constructed of patinated and gilded zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, overlaid by a diving Luftwaffe eagle clutching mobile swastika, the reverse with two visible rivets securing the obverse eagle in position, with a raised barrel hinge and vertical pinback, maker marked with the logo of Paul Meybauer, Berlin, measuring 42. 66 mm (w) x 53. 44 mm
